Jonathan Forster Weighs in on Hulk Hogan’s Estate in Wealth Management

Jonathan Forster recently spoke to Wealth Management’s Anna Sulkin Stern about the distribution of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan’s estate, which is estimated to be worth $25 million. Jon analyzes how complex family dynamics may come into play and affect how assets are divided.

Hogan’s relationship with many of his family members, including his estranged daughter Brooke, has been publicly strained over the years. Brooke reportedly asked Hogan’s financial advisor to be removed as a beneficiary of her father’s estate in 2023. However, Jon tells Wealth Management that this request alone cannot remove Brooke as a beneficiary.

“A financial advisor doesn’t have the power to remove Brooke as a beneficiary of Hulk Hogan’s estate,” he explains. “If Brooke truly wants to be removed as beneficiary, she will need to formally disclaim her beneficial interest in a signed document and deliver the disclaimer to the executor within nine months of Hulk Hogan’s date of death (if she didn’t do so already prior to his death). Once she signs and delivers the disclaimer, she will be treated as if she predeceased Hulk Hogan.”
