Rochelle Schultz Joins FOX5 Las Vegas to Discuss Estate of Former Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh
Rochelle Schultz recently appeared on FOX5 Las Vegas to discuss the ongoing battle over the estate of late Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh.
Hsieh’s recently discovered will, found among the papers of a deceased attorney, has raised complex legal questions about its authenticity, as well as the fate of his substantial Las Vegas assets.
Prior to his death, Hsieh owned more than $50 million in Las Vegas property, including more than 50 acres in Downtown Las Vegas. The fate of that property is now unclear, even if the unusual will is upheld.
“Those individuals are only identified by the last four digits of their Social Security number,” Rochelle says of the beneficiaries in the will. “We don’t know who those properties are going to, who’s going to be in charge.”
The court has authorized the Hsieh family to investigate the will’s validity, including disclosure of Hsieh’s electronic communications and digital assets to determine whether a connection even exists to the attorney who held the will.
