Weinstock Manion Named a “Top Boutique” Law Firm of 2025 by The Daily Journal

Weinstock Manion is pleased to announce that the firm was recognized in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal’s “Top Boutiques” special issue for 2025. The annual list spotlights California’s highest performing boutique law firms across all practice areas.

The Daily Journal highlights the firm’s “reputation as one of Southern California’s premier estate planning boutique firms, establishing a culture of mentorship, succession planning and sophisticated legal services for high-net-worth clients,” in addition to its growth into a 25-attorney practice, largely achieved by attracting talent from larger firms.

“I would say that kind of the success of the firm is that we’ve brought in really top talent from other large firms around town, either because the estate planning groups were not well supported in those other firms, or the large firm lifestyle and partnership track is not as  enticing,” Jonathan Forster tells the Daily Journal.

Jeffrey Geida echoes Jonathan’s sentiment, adding that this growth trajectory has come naturally to the firm.

“The firm’s grown organically like that, outside of a merger in the ’90s,” he explains. “Other attorneys have come in with their own clients and kind of built up the practices that way.”

Jessica Babrick further expands on the firm’s growth, clarifying that the attorneys’ commitment to succession planning and associate development drives the firm’s efforts when mentoring and training new attorneys.

“I don’t know that there’s many lawyers and firms who put that much effort into caring about the longevity of the firm when they’re not going to be there anymore,” she tells the Daily Journal. “Our goal is really when we hire an associate, we hire people we hope someday will be our partners, and for the most part, that’s what’s happened.”

Jonathan goes on to emphasize the firm’s longstanding philosophy of deeply caring for both their clients and their fellow attorneys.

“We obviously really care about our clients, but we also really care about each other and our  entire  team,” Jonathan concludes. “This isn’t a firm of screamers. We want people to be happy.”
